Founded back in 1985 by Graham Whittle, Whitby Seafoods is proud to be the home of scampi, and to this day reside and manufacture their product range in the seaside town of Whitby. Its products can be found on the shelves of Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco in both chilled and frozen aisles, and include; Whitby Calamari, Whitby Jumbo Scampi, Whitby Whitebait, amongst others.
The Whitby-based brand has enlisted the help of both companies to support them with their social media and PR activity, to boost brand awareness and reach new audiences.
This win comes just a couple of months after Punch and i-Yorkshire announced its partnership, as they looked to benefit other Yorkshire-based businesses. The aim of the coalition is to create engaging content for local brands and distribute this in a way in which enables them to reach a completely new audience.
